The Dress

The Ellie Gown - part of 'The First Dance Classic Collections' by Moira Hughes Couture. This dress features exclusive lace from Milan and feather-light silk with a vintage blush tone. It’s beautiful, long train floats as you walk down the aisle.

This stunning dress was custom made to fit by Moira for my March 2016 wedding, from her boutique studio in Paddington, Sydney. It will fit a size AU 8-10, and the length is just right for 175cm tall plus high heels, so it has plenty of length to play around with. I’m struggling with the thought of giving it up but it’s just too beautiful to be stored away in a closet

It has a longer bodice, offering more support around the waist down to the hips then flares just below the hips to allow comfort and ease of movement. The low neckline is accompanied with a built-in bra to support and boost. The plunging low back shows off the delicate detail of the Milan lace. I fell in love with the style and the way the shape created a flattering silhouette. The bodice provided excellent support and I felt so comfortable in the gown the entire day.

The Ellie Gown has a retail value of $6,195 and has featured in Cosmopolitan Bride Australia (autumn 2015 Issue) and Bride to Be Magazine Australia (summer 2015 Issue). I have a Certificate of Authenticity from the designer to accompany the dress along with a dry-cleaning receipt.

Only worn once, I had the dress dry-cleaned promptly after the wedding. Available to try or inspect in Sydney. Also happy organise shipping or courier.
