The Dress

This dress is beautiful! Classically elegant with a vintage feel but also a little bit of sparkle :) The vintage feel comes from the amazing lace and off the shoulder bodice and the beading above the detailed waist band adds that little bit of bling. Most of the photos don't capture the sparkle/bling above the waist band so I added an up close with the flash on.
The dress if from Spanish designer, Rosa Clara. I bought it in Mosman and it took 10 months for them to make it. It's a size 10 but I had it slightly taken in up the top as I'm a bit smaller up the top but I am probably more like a 12 down the bottom. It still fitted well.
The lace is one layer and a fitted satin ivory dress forms the under layer. I have a pale complexion and did not spray tan but thought the colour of the dress was complimentary.
The buttons have elasticised loops so it's quite easy to do up. I had an arm loop fitted to the dress because I found that when the seamstress mocked up a bustle it pulled the lace down and took away from that fitted/hugged look. You can do a bridal waltz in it - tried and tested!
The dress is back from the dry cleaners as of last week where I also had a minor hole in the lace repaired.
I welcome anyone seriously interested to come and try on the dress.
If you buy this you will be getting very good value for your money and I'll even throw in the veil!

I am 168cm tall and wore 7.5cm heels but found I still needed to get it taken up to avoid tripping. Despite that, some of the bottom dangly bits of lace either snapped off while walking or I trimmed them off at the second fitting. Cups have also been fitted to the under layer.
