The Dress

This is such a beautiful wedding dress and ball gown. If you want to feel like Cinderella, then this is it. Please note one of the photos shows the dress in silver. The dress is WHITE. This was an ad I had clipped out and put in my wedding scrapbook.

The upper bodice is embroidered in great detail. There are flowers with subtle silver and gold accents and also little stars made of tiny pearls. The embroidery also runs vertically down the skirt of the gown (every other pleat) and the bottom hem is a wide satin band. The dress is already altered for a 3-point bustle which was my favorite part. It has a long train (pre-bustle) as you can see in one of the photos.

Regarding size, the dress is a size 6 and fit nearly perfectly off the rack but it did require hemming as I am only 5'2". We avoided cutting into the embroidery on the skirt by opting for the thickest tool underskirt money could buy. Think Gone with the Wind! With that in mind, I believe someone as tall as 5'6" or possibly taller could wear the dress at floor length. The other alterations were minor - straps and small tucks on the bodice.

The dress was professionally cleaned and packaged for conservation. There are no known faults or stains on the gown. It did its job perfectly that day! I hope it does the same for you. :)
