The Dress

The first dress I tried on and the dress I came back to!

The Dakota Karen Willis Holmes dress is gorgeous and elegant to wear! You'll actually be comfortable all day and can dance the night away by using the discrete loop and hook to gracefully bustle the train. I went with the demi couture option, working with KWH's dress makers over two appointments to make a few amendments to the original ie scoop the back slightly more, remove the little frill sleeves and replace with some more of the gorgeous lace tendrils that feature on the dress and to hem.

I am 165cm tall and wore a 8cm peep toe heel, with the dress being hemmed to just above floor length to allow my shoes to peek out beneath the lace. All alterations were performed by the KWH team including the above already mentioned. I generally wear a size 10 up top and 12 below and the dress has been cleaned and stored in a KWH custom bag with original blue ribbon on the inside of the dress and spare covered buttons should you need any.

Other details: Fastening on back of bodice with covered buttons and invisible zip in the skirt. Shifting buttons should provide capacity for taking in or letting out as needed. No bra required with sewn in padded cups. These could be removed for someone with a fuller figure (consult a quality seamstress or perhaps one the KWH could even do it as they made all of the original amendments). Polyester base fabric. Fully lined - 100% polyester satin lining.
