Pronovias 2015 Couture Collection – Ontario Wedding Gown

Never worn and completely unaltered.

I bought this dress last year from Anne Priscilla Bridal in Glasgow for £1555 (I still have the original receipt etc). This dress is brand new and was ordered into the store from Pronovias.

Unfortunately I decided not to get married so my dress has been sat in its dress bag since I took it home from the shop! Such a waste of a beautiful dress. I really hope it can make someone else very happy and have the day it deserves :)

A classic, elegant dress made from Grace mikado silk. It has a plain Sabrina-style bodice with a bateau neckline and square armholes. The skirt is dome shaped and begins at the hip, with pleats in the side seams. The dress also has beautiful botton detailing which spans the full length of the dress to the end of the train. I chose not to buy a hoop as it has lots of underskirts but it can have one if desired. The colour of the dress is described as ‘off-white’, however I would say this is actually ivory (I’m very pale and white does not suit my skin tone!). The label size is a UK 6, but in UK High St stores I am usually an 8, sometimes a 10. My measurements on the day were (inches): Bust 34, Hips 36 and Waist 26.
The pictures I have taken really do not do the dress justice and unfortunately I do not have any professional photos as I did not get married. The dress is in the current 2015 collection and can be seen on the Pronovias website in the Couture Collection.
