The Dress

The dress consists of pure silk, tule, lace and crystals. Designed by Wendy Sullivan, and purchased from 'Brides Desire' in West End in 2009 for $1800 brand new.

It is a size 10, however the back is lace up, so the dress can fit from an Australian size 8 figure to an Australian size 12. (I was a size 8 - 10 when I wore this dress)

The skirt is what I believe to be the feature of the dress as it consists of pure silk overlaying layered tule. The silk layer can be clipped up onto the tule layer to create various gathered looks at each clip point. You can chose to clip up all of the silk and have it very gathered, or have none clipped up and have it all sitting over the tule. You can have it slightly clipped and gathered as well. You can chose how you want to have the skirt and can easily alter it at any time by simply unclipping the top layer.

It also has a beautiful long Silk train which comes from the top of the skirt and is also able to be removed by unclipping.

It is a fairly full skirt, but is not over the top - as you can see in the picture I have included of an original design of the dress in white you can have a fuller skirt if you choose to wear a petticoat or hoop underneath. It is very versatile.

The colour of the dress I am selling is 'ivory', and I am willing to include the veil which is the same colour, for no extra charge, worth over $150.
