The Dress

Louise Selby – Primrose / Iris / Forget-me-Not with bolero

The dress is a Primrose from the front (which is the same as Iris from the front). Louise made me a bespoke back that is the same as a Forget-me-Not except that it has 3 buttons (rather than 6) because the dress is an empire line.

I am a size 8 and 5’3” (and wore 3” heels).

The fabric underneath is crepe (which I chose over satin as it’s less shiny) with a beautiful lace overlay. The dress is very light and was so comfortable to wear all day - I didn't want to take it off! The bolero is made from matching lace and was warm enough for our outdoor wedding in late September in Tuscany. I’ll be very sorry to part with it but would rather it went to another bride than sat in a box in my wardrobe!

The dress has been dry-cleaned using Louise’s recommended dry-cleaner.
