This gorgeous gown just felt so right when I tried it on. The silky stain fits so perfectly and, while the gown has a beautiful ruched bodice and pleats over the hips, it doesn't weigh a tonne like so many other bridal gowns I tried. The colour is a lovely soft ivory but it isn't one of the darker shades, it is closer to white so my shoes were bought in a white colour to match. I felt so comfortable - and gorgeous! - in this gown throughout my whole wedding day and was blown away by the compliments I received about the gown.

The strapless sweetheart neckline is just divine and allows you to either show off a key piece of jewellery (like my grandmother's pearls) or to have a bare neckline and perhaps have larger earrings or hair down.

Like many Maggie Sottero dresses, this one has an elegant corset closure at the back, which also means it is easy to fit perfectly by just adjusting the tightness of the close.

I made no alterations to the gown. Even the length was perfect with the right size heel (I'm 170cm tall) but if you needed to, there is still plenty of opportunity to take the dress up. The only addition I made to the gown was through a professional and highly regarded dressmaker who added loops and buttons to bustle the train for the reception.

The gown has been professionally dry-cleaned and come out perfectly! I also have the original Maggie Sottero certificate. The sizing for this dress at a size 12 is bust 39 inches, waist 31 inches and hips 41.5 inches but as said, these are not hard and fast sizes because of the corset closure at the back. A size 10 could also fit this dress with ease.
