The Dress

The Letizia silk crepe gives shape to this sensual mermaid dress with a V-neckline and draped V-back (adorned with buttons).

The design hugs your curves, however, the material ensures that your silhouette is smooth and sleek.

The simplicity of this dress is pure elegance - think Carolyn Bessett-Kennedy.

I had so many compliments on my dress and I'm sad to see it go, however, I won't wear it again and I really want to pass this on to someone who will love it as much as I do.

Dress was purchased and altered at Marry Me Bridal in Mosman (Sydney).

Alterations

Alterations were made to the following:

- Taken in under arms to reduce excess material and create more space under armpits.
- Shoulder straps tightened to reduce draping at bust and across shoulders.
- Trimmed the v neck to reduce extra material around bust and décolletage.
- Taken in around waist and hips to hug my body.
- Hem taken up to suit my height (168cm) plus 11cm heels.
- Bustle added to back.
- Cups sewn into bust (so no need to wear bra) however, I also wore a Body Sculpt Backless Jumpsuit (Nancy Gantz) as recommended by my seamstress.
