The Dress

This dress has been kept in completely separate and secure packaging during the last few months. I won't be permitting try-ons in advance of purchase, although you are welcome to inspect its condition as part of pickup. This Billie dress from Made with Love (purchased from Heart A Flutter Bridal in Hackney) was my dream dress, I felt absolutely amazing on my wedding day and would love for someone else to get the benefit of such a beautiful item instead of having it sit in my wardrobe. It is a structured figure-hugging fit but is also easy to move in and has the amazing low back alongside a classic boat neck at the front. The train can be pinned up, held or laid out for full effect.

The material is classic French crepe which feels luxurious and soft, and the dress is fully lined. Pictures included are of the dress in its current, post-dry-cleaned state (creases to the train from storage can be easily steamed out)and a couple of photos from the ceremony itself. Apologies for the limited pictures. The wedding was on an overcast day and we did not do many traditional wedding photos but further can be provided if this would be helpful.

The buttons - all perfectly intact - conceal a zip which ensures easy on and off but also snug fit. As can be seen in one of the pictures, there is also some detachable lace which goes on the back. I plan to keep this for sentimental reasons and therefore this is not included in the price quoted.

Condition: I wore this dress on my wedding day in October 2019 and it has since been professionally dry cleaned. It is flawless apart from some very minor remaining marks on the very bottom/underside of the hem of the dress (invisible to the untrained eye or easily solved by taking it up by a cm).

Size is a S/UK 10, which (apart from the bust below) fit me perfectly (I am normally 8-10 dress size). Dress could be taken in a couple of sizes to fit a smaller frame.

Pick up from South East London preferred so you can inspect before you buy.

Alterations

Front hem was taken up a little to accommodate my height (165cm) and a small heel, so dress now measures at 144cm from hollow to hem.

Built in A cups were replaced to accommodate a slightly larger (i.e B/C cup) bust, these come included with the dress but are easily adjusted / replaced. Attached via a few stitches, they sit beautifully between the dress and the lining meaning they are truly built in, and no bra is required!

Also to accommodate a slightly larger bust, I had the sleeve openings adjusted by 1-2cm to give a little more room under the arms.

An invisible loop and hook&eye was added on the train so it could be carried by the wrist (as in the photo), or pinned up in a bustle - this was so helpful on the day as meant dancing was no problem!
