The Dress

This is honestly the dress of dreams. Everyone - on the day and those who have seen photos since - has been bowled over by it, and I could not have felt more special wearing it.

I never thought I'd go for a big dress - but I'm only planning on wearing a wedding dress once and this was such a unique and magical experience, unlike anything I've ever worn before.

It's the perfect combination of classically understated (no sequins or lace) - while also making a real statement with its sculptural silhouette and beautiful bow, complete with satin buttons all the way down the back.

The nipped-in waist is so flattering and the shape of it from that point to the floor means there's no need to worry about breathing in! I was completely relaxed and comfortable all day.

There's the option to bustle the train - as you can see in the photo of us dancing.

I wore the dress for about eight hours on my wedding day and changed to leave the reception at the end, so the dress could be safely taken away in its bag.

We've had it professionally cleaned by a wedding dress expert and while there are some small marks at the very bottom, you really do have to look for them (there is no chance of any guests noticing or of the marks showing in your photos - it's pretty immaculate).

I'm also quite tall, so it could be that you have the bottom taken up a little bit, in which case you'd essentially have a brand new dress!
