The Dress
Romantic, lace-ladened Maggie Sottero gown! I fell in love with this dress immediately, and it was an absolute dream to wear. It made me feel super confident, showing off my body, yet it was also comfortable for the 12 hours that I wore it. Unlike some plus-size wedding dresses, this gown didn't hide my body or drown me with an abundance of unflattering material. Would love for it to find a new home with a bride who is looking for a unique gown to show off her body and good taste!
From the designer's website: "A chic A-line with unique details, this boho wedding dress features horizontal lace motifs, scattered lace appliqués, and a striking lace hem on tulle over dot tulle. Spaghetti straps run from sweetheart neckline to square back trimmed with illusion lace. Finished with covered buttons over zipper closure."
A few alterations were made (see below). This dress was professionally dry cleaned after my May 2018 wedding.
Alterations
The hem of the dress was altered, as was the bodice for a closer fit over my chest. Darts (folds) were added to give further shape to the bodice.
