The Dress
The dress is totally unique and stunning. It was designed by John Peacock and custom made in 1996. John Peacock worked as a fashion and costume designer and lecturer in fashion history. He also was a senior costume designer for BBC Television, and is the author of many books on costume. The dress was custom made and hand sewn by a professional seamstress.
This is a difficult dress to describe. The dress is a strapless silk/satin dress, with a vintage piece of french material used for the panel on the front of the dress.
For the day time or during a church service, the dress has a silk, long sleeve, outer jacket with train. The lace around the collar is vintage.
The dress and jacket were professionally cleaned and sealed in an air tight box since the wedding. There are no stains or marks on the dress.
