The Dress

Hello Brides-to-be! Have you already scrolled through my pictures? If you can see yourself turning heads with my daringly elegant gown, you should look no further! And if you think that you don't have the right type of body to let your enviable curves take center stage with this dream dress, then you may want to keep reading. ;)

Let me be very honest: I had zero expectations when I first tried this dress: unlike BERTA's top models, I am short (5'2"), my waist is not quite the slim kind (26"), my breast is certainly not as flat (35") and although I wasn't technically overweight, I was definitely not in my best shape (small but stubborn belly lol). Therefore, a slim-fitting dress wasn't my 1st choice, but hey, I was already at their trunk show, why not give it a shot? Worst case scenario, I'd get my sister to laugh with me! :)

Turns out, against all my expectations, this dress was LOVE at first sight! It is just so stunning once you put it on!

The satin just above the waistline shortens your torso, and along with the slim fitting skirt, it will definitely make you look taller while it elongates your silhouette. Not to mention the placement of the delicate bow that hides any "extras" you may have. ;)

And if you think that the fit will limit your moves, think twice: I danced samba and performed all sorts of Jewish moves you can imagine with it. Lol
Which means that the fabrics are not only stretchy but very light!

It is also very easy to care for this dress: no need to spend hundreds of dollars with professional dry cleaning. All you will need is cold water and soap. I had never expected that such sophisticated and delicate gown could be so easily washed but I contacted BERTA's costumer service and those were their instructions!

What also surprised me from the beginning was how the invisible netting is indeed quite invisible, and how I didn't need to worry for a second that I would reveal more than I wanted. The invisible strap on the back and the way the bodice is made are spot on when it comes to giving you that safety feeling.

My wedding dress was the first item I crossed out of my list when I got engaged and it was a decision I will never regret. It made me feel my best self, while allowing me to have the best time. I hope that it can make other girls out there as happy as I was on such a memorable day of their lives. Let me know if that girl is you! ;)

Please note: I am 5'2" and had 5" heels. So this dress would likely fit you well if you are around my size, or smaller. I am a street size 4 or 6, so if you are an 8 or 10, the dress will probably not work for you. If you are a 0, 2, 4 or 6, then you should be fine and after an alteration or two this dress will fit like a glove!
By the way, I do have extra lace and can send it with the dress if you'd like.
