The Dress

Worn once at my wedding. Bought brand new for $5500.

Comes with dress and overskirt. Sold together.

I'm located in Calgary, Alberta, CANADA.

I wore the overskirt for half of the day (at ceremony and dinner) and then took it off later which was fun because it was like having two dresses!

Check out Tara Lauren online or take a peek on instagram. Their dresses are to die for. Very whimsical as you could sort of see through the layers of the overskirt.

This dress is a-line (when you where the overskirt) and also fit and flare (without the overskirt) as it’s kind of two dresses. It is such a flattering dress.

No alterations except for about 2 inches of hemming and a bustle made for both dress pieces (the dress and overskirt). This cost $480 to have done. The bustle can easily be removed if you wish, however it's super convenient for when you're walking around at cocktail hour.

Length of dress:
I’m 5’6 and was wearing 5 inch heels. I would say that even after the hemming, both pieces of the dress seemed a bit too long - so lots of room for hemming! It has been dry cleaned and is in absolute perfect condition. I was very careful with the dress as I knew (sadly) that I would sell it afterward.

Try this dress on in store and have them measure what size you’d be in a Tara Lauren dress. You can look up on the Tara Lauren website which stores they sell their dresses. Go to the store, try it on and have them measure you. I was exactly as size 2 in both the skirt and dress. When the dress arrived it fit perfectly.

Dry cleaned and in perfect condition, wrapped in plastic and in original bag. Dry cleaning was $375 as it counted as two separate dresses/pieces.

Overskirt cost $1500 and dress cost $4000.

Shipping is calculated to be between $140 and $190 within North America (depending on where it's being shipped).

Alterations

Very little - just a couple inches removed at the bottom for hemming. A bustle for the dress and overskirt was made but you can't see it so you could easily not use it or you could take it out and/or alter it if you wish. The rest of the dress fit perfectly so I didn't need any alterations. It is a size two.
