The Dress

This wedding gown was an absolute dream. I purchased this designer gown at Karen Willis Holmes in Perth in 2018 and I wore this gown on our wedding day in December 2018.
The gown was comfortable to wear yet has exquisite detail that made me feel absolutely so special.
It is in perfect condition after our wedding day and had no sign of wear.
The big positives of this gown was the beautiful fitted shape, amazing beaded detail, and feeling very unique as I had not seen anyone else with this gown.
Another big plus for me was that there was no need to wear any specialised under garments with this dress as due to the gorgeous beaded detail no under garment lines could be seen, and I could wear what I was most comfortable in.
The alterations team that completed the finishing touches on the dress actually mistook this gown for a high end designer wedding dress label. The team could not believe the amazing detail and quality construction of this gown.

This wedding gown would fit a standard Australian size 6. The dress was well fitted in the bust but also had a little room to spare if you have a slightly bigger bust, and it was quite fitted in the hips with not much room to spare.
The dress was altered to fit my measurements:
Bust: 84cm
Waist: 67cm
Hips: 92cm

Alterations

The dress was altered at Final Touch in Claremont in Perth, a renowned and highly skilled team.
This gown was 'made to order' size and required alterations costing about $800 to alter to a standard Australian size 6. A few other small details were also altered:
The big cup inserts that came with the dress were removed and half cup inserts were fitted as I prefer a more natural bust look (will suit women with smaller busts but will also suit a fuller bust than me as there was a little room to spare).
The other alteration was adding a bustle feature to the tulle skirt. Usually this is a standard addition however due to the many tulle layers the bustle added was very intricate and as a result with the dress bustled it almost looks like a different dress (see dancing photo). The alterations team were very skilled and made the bustle loops with invisible material so it cannot be seen when the skirt is fully flared in all its glory for photos.
