MONIQUE LHUILLIER SPRING 2018 COLLECTION - VALERIE WEDDING DRESS
This very exquisite and beautifully structured wedding gown is from the Monique Lhuillier Spring collection. The back of the dress is structured in a very "origami" and yet clean feel.
The dress was worn at our wedding in Fiji for ceremony and photos then I changed to my other gowns. It has since been professionally cleaned and has returned to original condition with a few snags in the train silk section on the ground (not visible when wearing).

DRESS ALTERATIONS
My measurements were taken and dress was made to size. Was slightly large on wedding day but decided not to alter further as I was living in France and dress was in Australia at my parents and I flew in 2 weeks before our wedding. The under silk lining was altered to include a slit up the left thigh to aid with walking and add some transparency to the tulle. I am a AUS size 12, for height without heels 5ft11inc/180cm. I wore 3inch heels on the day but with the layered tulle any height would work as train is meant to drape behind. Can definitely be further altered to smaller sizes very easily along side seams and or straps.
DRY CLEANING/PRESERVATION
Professionally cleaned with Syndals Melbourne. (Certificate included)

Artfully draped through the slim-fitting bodice before bursting into a frothy-tulle trumpet skirt, this gown highlights hourglass curves with rich textural contrast. Plunging necklines enhance the allure.

I absolutely fell INLOVE with this dress online and couldn’t find anywhere in Australia stocking it. I was lucky enough to head to LA for a work trip and try, purchase and collect it there (the Monique team we’re amazing and had it made in 2.5 weeks (usually 16-20) so I could take it home with me).
It was perfect for what a wanted a fuller dress, that still showed my figure but wasn’t a ball gown/princess style.
I hope someone else can feel as special as I did on my day.

I have returned back to France. But dress is stored in Victoria, Australia with my parents.
