The Dress

Gorgeous Jenny Packham Faith dress from her 2017 rustic collection, purchased from The Wedding Club in South Kensington.

The dress is the barley colourings.

The dress is heavily embellished but is lightweight and comfortable, one of the main reasons I bought it in addition to the dress being so beautiful.

It has been professionally dry cleaned since my wedding. Naturally with the heavy embellishment some sequins have came away however I don’t believe this is noticeable is any areas. I do have lots of spare sequins should you decide to add any extras.

Alterations

Minimal alterations have been made to the dress. Two tiny pieces of vintage lace (from my mother’s wedding veil) were inserted into the inside seam of the sleeves (as seen in the photo). These aren’t noticeable unless you lift your arm and look closely. No alternative to the body or length of the dress have been made. I’m 5ft 10” and wore 2.5” heels and front of the dress just skimmed the floor. Following my wedding and some vigorous ceilidh dancing two small repairs wear made to one of the armpits, these have been repaired and only noticeable if you have your arm raised and looking very closely (see photo). I have also misplaced the original ribbon belt as I wore two gold coloured ribbons instead.
