The Dress

Dress bought in Harrods May 19th 2019. Worn to an intimate family evening wedding on June 1st, worn for 8 hours, indoors only. I truly love this dress, I felt confident, feminine, refined, powerful but most importantly I felt myself in this dress. It is incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. I wore a stick on nude bra and Jimmy Choo Romy Ballet Pink shoes and that was it. I even opted out of wearing beautiful earnings as the dress did all the talking. As it was a family only wedding every guest shed a tear but remarkably most said it was down to the dress. If you are a bride who is looking for clean, modern lines this is the dress for you.

Stella McCartney is responsible for dressing some of the worlds most beautiful women including Meghan Markle who chose Stella to design her wedding reception dress. The Made with Love collection reimagines some of the brands most celebrated silhouettes and red carpet offerings for the confident modern bride. This dress was inspired by the look Stella designed for Rhianna’s 2014 Met Gala appearance. This dress has been worn by Beyoncé (Vanity Fair Oscar party) and Nicola Peltz (Transformers premier). Deceptively modest this statuesque gown glides over the figure with long sleeves and a slender skirt, while a back cutout reveals a spine-tingling finish. A blue tag featuring a personal message from Stella herself is sewn into each each dresss serving as your “something blue”.

Made in Italy, stretch silk lining, column skirt with train, hidden back zip, cutout back with hook & eye closure, invisible zips on sleeves allow for a customised fit that doesn’t imepede the streamlined perfection and design.

Alterations

Experately alltered by Harrods seamstress
Shortened hem but kept full train length - I am 5”5 and I wore 4” heals
Darts at waist left out by 0.5cm each side to give more comfort when moving
Took in waist “fade” at the back opening to ensure no gapping, the back opening sat perfectly flat
