The Dress

If you're hoping to feel like a princess on your wedding day then this is the dress for you! I felt confident and radiant the entire day. It truly was my dream dress. This dress is a ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and beaded bodice. It is what I considered perfectly poofy! I was still able to walk down the aisle without knocking the candles over and I could sit down comfortably. The skirt has multiple layers with tulle on the outside, but it doesn't feel as heavy as the ball gowns I originally tried. The outermost layer is a sheer white/ivory tulle and the second layer is a sequined/glitter tulle. It is so fun to twirl in this dress! The glitter tulle provides the perfect amount of sparkle to compliment the beaded bodice.

The beading in the bodice is exquisite and there aren't any beads missing that I noticed. There is a zipper that goes up to the waist and then a corset back was inserted because I felt I had more support for a strapless dress. The final alteration made was draped glitter tulle sleeves. Since the sleeves were made of tulle, they didn't restrict my arm movement. The sleeves are also detachable with a button and elastic band so its up to you whether you want to use them. In the end, it perfectly tied my dress together because the tulle on the sleeves and on the skirt matched creating a complete design. Not to mention this addition inspired a gorgeous look, fulfilling my Disney princess dreams!

The dress is in surprisingly good condition considering the skirt is made of tulle. I honestly was expecting for the skirt, especially the train, to have many rips in the tulle but it ended up being fine! The bottom most layer (underneath) of the skirt has a few marks but they are not noticeable when wearing the dress. The only other marks I have found on the dress are inside the bodice but they also are not able to be seen when wearing it.

Alterations

Alterations included: removing half the zipper to create a beautiful corset back, inserting cups and hemming the dress to my height of 5'6'' plus my 3 inch heels.
