The Dress

Rime Arodaky’s “Aston” is from her 2018 collection and is absolutely gorgeous! It's sheer lace details and hand-embroidered floral ornaments lend Aston its timeless elegance, while its V-neckline, open back and lace cut-outs at trail provide the innovative ‘sexy rock n’ roll’ edge. This dress is very slimming and sensual.

By the time I found Aston, I had already trekked across New York City, visiting 5+ stores and trying on no fewer than twenty dresses. I had started to think that maybe wedding dresses aren’t for me. But then I walked into Mews Bridal and everything changed. From the moment I looked in the mirror I knew that this was the one. The dress made me feel like the most beautiful person in the world on the day of my wedding. I’m so sad to see it go but am excited to pass it on so that it can bring joy to another beautiful bride on her special day.

Sizing:
· Ordered in a size 38
· I am 5'5'' and 119lbs
· Wore with 3.5" (90mm) heels (Alexandre Birman Clarita Suede Ankle-Tie Sandals)
· Wore with NuBra Silicone Push Up Bra (my bra size is 34A/32B)
· I typically wear a 26 in designer jeans and size XS/S in tops.

My reception was indoors so the dress is in fantastic shape, having only been worn outside for a few photos prior to the ceremony. I had the dress professionally dry cleaned two days after the wedding. It is in pristine condition and currently being stored in its original garment bag.

Alterations

Ordered in a size 38, the gown was altered by the alteration specialist recommended by Mews Bridal. Alterations include an American bustle and tailored to fit my frame perfectly.
