The Dress

So I’m selling my amazing Anna Campbell “Sierra” Silk Tulle wedding dress, don’t get me wrong this dress is so lit I can barely bring myself to sell it. You can dance in it. You can twirl in it. The only thing missing which would literally make this dress the best thing since sliced bread is that it doesn’t have pockets which is, quite frankly, a blessing, because otherwise I’d never be able to bring myself to sell this legend of a dress and it wouldn’t get to go and live its best life. It would just be chilling in its garment bag, a sparkly, hot mess waiting for its next big night out.

Anyway, I digress, let me tell you about this dress... first of all there’s a lot of sparkle. Now when I say sparkle I mean S P A R K L E. Take what you think is sparkle and times it by like 10 and that’s how sparkly it is. To quote Australian designer Anna Campbell, who created this dress “There is just so much sparkle on Sierra! It features some of our most intricate beading, including the delicate beaded loops that drop gorgeously across the shoulder, then striking silver embellishment which is worked intricately through layers of embroidery and lace.” It literally has hand embellished sparkles from front to back and is simply encrusted in jewels. So many jewels that if a pirate found this dress he would literally hang up his pirate hat and retire. It also has this amazing delicate beading which drapes over the shoulders and evolves into a lavishly beaded bodice.

Now the Tulle Silk skirt and train (100% silk), don’t even get me started. Beautifully (and I mean beautifully!!!) draped silk tulle falls heavenly into the skirt that flows over the figure and expands into a bounteous train that trails elegantly behind the bride as she walks. The train is longish but not long. As in not long enough that you question whether you stole your Nan’s curtains but long enough that you’re like “oh, ah, yeah, she’s got a little something something”. The colour 'ivory' is absolutely stunning too, the photos simply do not do the colour justice.

Now, like most diamonds, there are one or two teensy flaws as there are a few minor runs and tiny holes in the tulle train (those damn heels of mine poking tiny holes) but you cannot notice them as the dress is so soft & flowing. The dress is otherwise in excellent condition, I’d give her a solid 9/10.

Whilst we are heading down factual avenue, I’ll cover off the rest of the details. I had a few small alterations made by a local professional seamstress - a small amount of hem was taken off as I am approximately 165cm tall and I wore a small heel (approx 4cm). I also had the bejewelled lace straps sewn in but these could be easily readjusted to whatever length you’d like.

Now one other thing to note about this dress is she is adaptable (like, she should probably highlight her adaptability on her resume level adaptable) the dress is a size small but could fit sizes 8-12 due to the elastic waste and ties.

If that isn’t enough to get you over the line this dress was hand made in Melbourne, Australia and has a V-neck bust with push-up padding so you can go full feminist bra less on your wedding day if you’re so inclined #equality

The moral of the story is buy my wedding dress because #helpmeimpoor Just kidding, I’m not poor but I would like to put the money towards something wise and future focussed like a strong independent woman should such as another investment property or a stock portfolio or maybe a Chanel bag, you know, one of those things that will cement an awesome future. Anyway, do this dress (and me) a solid and buy it so this dress can have another sensational night out and also so you can look ahhhh-mazing on your wedding day and the absolute most sparkly best version of yourself. It’s a win-win sitch really.

You can even come and try her on (I’m based in Hobart Tas) I might even crack open a champagne with you to give you that wedding dress boutique experience.
