The Dress

WOW this dress is magical! People still mention it 6 months after the wedding. It looks a lot better in real life than in photos because of the ecru lining and ivory lace contrast - it doesn't translate exactly to pictures, or at least not my pictures because of the filter. You are paying here for the magnificent lace design, but also for the quality of the fabrics and comfort it ensures. It's by far the most comfortable wedding dress I've tried on and even more comfy than other normal dresses I own. I tried it on first at a boutique in London in a size UK 12 or 10 and it fit (but it was over £2k new) so I found this in a sample sale at a reduced price (and what a find it was!).
Right, re the size I can honestly say I am positive it fits anyone size 12-14 but it could also fit someone smaller 10-12) or someone on the 14-16 side. I was UK 12 top and UK 14 bottom size when I bought it and it fitted nicely showing off my curves; I was 10/12 top and 12 bottom at my wedding and it fitted even better (as i didn't want it to be too body hugging).The lining is ecru colour, satiny but elastic and the lace is ivory with a bit of stretch to it too. I am 5ft10"(178cm) tall and wear cup size 34D. I haven't added any cups to the dress but they can easily be sewn in; my seamstress also said it's easy to take it in at the top under the armpits(for bust) and the hem at the bottom (for height). Being tall and busty i didn't need to, but it's good to know. I have had the straps shortened a bit for better bust support and I have read that many brides do this with this particular dress, so hopefully I've done you a favour. It doesn't have signs of wear and tear except some bubbling in the lining where it was touching the floor while walking down the aisle, which is on the inside, so not even you will see it when wearing it.
I would recommend this dress to anyone who wants to look stunning while feeling comfortable and wants a unique and memorable dress in which she can dance the night away and be able to sit and jump and hug and eat without feeling self conscious and restrained. This is my dream dress and I would go for it all over again. I am not emotional about things, so I would like it to bring joy to the next lucky lady! Alterations

The straps were shortened about 2cm, but I am quite tall so there is still a lot of strap left; I have had a satin button added to the train and one to the lining of the train in order to be able to pull it up when dancing.
