The Dress

This exquisite Silk ball gown with hand beading, aptly named 'Gardenia', comes from the Elbeth Gillis Couture 'Mystique Collection'.

The bodice has a low scooped neck and is nude in appearance, with beautiful hand beading across it, which makes you appear to have crystal like flowers floating across your skin. The bodice is almost backless as is evident in the pictures, which I absolutely loved!

The silk skirt is quite full in appearance, which adds to the drama of it, but to my surprise very light in weight, which made it easy for me to dance the night away. It has exquisite button detail and beautiful hidden pockets, which were a dream to put lipgloss etc in.

Alterations

Although 'Gardenia', comes from the Elbeth Gillis Couture 'Mystique Collection'. Elbeth did make a few small tweaks to the design for me - for example making the waistline a bit thinner in width, so it felt like it had more of a tapered waist and she added a bit of boning to the bodice for me to ensure support (although you cannot see the boning at all).

I would also have to say that it really is between a 10 and a 12 in size, but could easily fit a variety of sizes and shapes, because it's a ball gown and therefore very forgiving.
