The Dress
Bought new at Happy Brautmoden in Munich in July 2018 and worn for my wedding in September 2018.
I bought the dress that was on display in the shop, so it was slightly cheaper than the original retail price of € 1400.
The train is split into two sides that can be tied up for dancing/walking (see pictures). I actually only had the train out for our 5 minute ceremony and it was tied up for the rest of the wedding, so it's in good condition.

Alterations
I am 5'6" (168 cm) and wore shoes with about a 3" (7.5 cm) heel, so the length was altered to my height. The seamstress also put an additional snap at the mid-back so that the lace panels are more secure and fixed the ties for securing the train. The bodice itself wasn't altered at all, so should take well to any alterations you still need to do.
