The Dress

Stunning Berta 18-07 dress.
I absolutely adored this dress on my wedding day and I hope someone will love it as much as I did.
I am 5ft5 and wore a 3 inch heel. I wear a size 6-8 UK so I had the dress taken in certain areas to give it the figure hugging shape but was still comfortable to wear all day.
I purchased this Berta from The Wedding Club in Knightsbridge, London. Using their recommended seamstress I made some changes to the dress to make it my own. These changes included lowering/widening the back to make it more revealing and give more of an open back effect. I lined the top half of the dress so the bust area was no longer completely sheer showing the cups however left the beautiful plunge neckline and sides open which were a statement to the dress. I added more appliqué to the bust area and make the straps slightly narrower.
The dress has been professionally cleaned and as sad as I will be to see it go, it’s ready to go to someone that will enjoy wearing it as much as I did on my wedding day. It really is gorgeous in photos and even more striking in person.
