The Dress

If you are looking for something elegant, effortless and slightly bohemian for your wedding day then the Marot skirt could be for you.

Part of the Laure de Sagazan 2018 collection the Marot skirt is made from the softest silk crepe which moves beautifully, billowing out behind you (the pictures really don't do this justice). Wonderfully flattering to all figure types and light enough to be worn on the hottest of summer's days the overall look is incredibly chic..

Buttoned at the belt with small pleat detail at the front the skirt can be worn low on the waist (as on the model) or at waist height (as shown on me).

I am a UK size 10 and 168cm tall, at this height the skirt has a small train. However as a result of the wrap around style the skirt is easily adjustable and would comfortably fit a size 12. If you need to let out the skirt or take it in all you have to do is move a few buttons.

The skirt is a sample bought from The Mews in Notting Hill. It has only ever been tried on in the shop and is in perfect condition apart from the two buttons and button fastenings which need to replaced.

I fell in love with the skirt as soon as I tried it on and bought it before we had confirmed our wedding date or venue! As a result I never wore the skirt as by the time our wedding came around I had chanced upon another dress that I felt was more fitting for the venue.
