This Gown is BERTA-INSPIRED - It was custom-made to my specifications. This gown is in pristine condition and has never been worn to a wedding. Note that this is a custom-made gown. It is not BERTA-branded.

This stunning bespoke mermaid wedding gown has an elegant off the shoulder neckline and low cut back. It was custom designed for me by a seamstress (in Germany) and made to fit my measurements. When coming up with this design, we were inspired by the gowns by Berta, many of which combine the sexy mermaid style with the romantic off-the-shoulder look.

The cut and lace are very similar to the mermaid off-shoulder styles by Berta.
It's also similar to the Galia Lahav GALA-702 gown or the Maggie Sottero, Afton.

This gown was only worn once to take these photos in order to showcase its stunning details!!!

Given a change of the venue, I decided to go with a different dress style on my wedding day. It was a tough decision though!

---- Materials -------------------------------------------

The inside of the gown is lined with a very high thread count satin fabric in an ivory/cream color. This lining has a beautiful sheen and some significant weight to it, which adds to the luxurious feel and that beautiful soft ivory color of the dress!

The romantic off-the-shoulder sleeves are also removable (clip on/off buttons) if you want more freedom of movement.

The voluminous lower half of the skirt is composed of many layers of soft tulle with delicate lace applications. I would describe the silhouette either as 'fit & flare', 'trumpet' style, or 'mermaid', since the exact point where the skirt will begin to flare out also depends a bit on your height!

This dress has built-in cups (size A). Because it has a low back it must be worn braless or with a stick-on bra. So I would recommend that you’re also a size A or small size B for the cups to fit.

I had a wrist loop added, which is attached to the bottom of the train's lining. So you can take up the train when walking or dancing.

With its voluminous skirt and show-stopper chapel train, this gown makes for an absolutely stunning ceremony dress!

- Bust: 85 cm (33.5 inches) --> built-in cups are ideal for a size A

- Waist: 65-67 cm (24-26 inches)

- Upper hips (over hip bones): 87 cm (34.3 inches)

- Hips (fullest point): 93-94 cm (37 inches)

- Outer leg (from waist to floor, WITH 12 cm heels): 131 cm (51.6 inches)

- Height (WITH 12 cm heels): 192 cm (6'2'')

I'm 180 cm (5' 10'') without heels, and I wore 12 cm (4.7'') platform heels in the photos.

--> I know, the dress is long. But my seamstress reassured me that hemming it from the bottom is easily possible. Any experienced wedding dress seamstress will carefully remove the bottom lace, trim the tulle and hem the lining, and then re-apply that lace along the bottom.
