The Dress
Champagne ivory from 2017/2 collection from White April. Picked up March 2018 and worn August 2018. I'm usually a size 8-10 so it is fairly true to size. It's well fitted in the bodice but loose from hips onwards. The longer lace at the sides helps to elongate the body and makes it look very flattering, especially for pear-shaped ladies.
It has just spent 2 months getting dry-cleaned however some discolouration remains on the bottom 5cm (see picture) as it rained on my wedding day :(. It was such a beautiful dress to wear, was easy to move, sit, eat and go to the toilet!
Even with alterations, length was slightly long for me so would suit someone shorter and then have it taken up further to remove the darker hemline.
Alterations
Straps shortened. Length taken up. (i'm 166cm and wore 9cm heels.)Under-layer cut to floor length so only the georgette needed to be bustled to keep it lighter. 3 loops sewn in in order to bustle up dress.
