The Dress

My custom made dress was designed by Silvana Tedsco in Hawthorn, Melbourne in 2018. It is based on the Cinzia gown from her Ultimo Amore Collection, These creations are for the fashion forward bride; they’re ultra-modern and free flowing.

The dress is a fitted modern silhouette with stunning hand sewn Italian lace and pearl detailing carefully placed in all the right places to make this dress unique. The natural white floor-length dress is figure hugging, but very flexible yet firm. This gown was altered to reduce the front openings and come in at the waist to complement your figure. We chose a low open back that comes together at the top with the most gorgeous silk buttons. It has a high neck, low back at the waist, a modern train and accentuated build in pads for your bust.

I typically wear a size 10, however the dress was made to measure with measurements available upon request. I am 167cm tall and wore 10cm heels on the day.

I had the dress professionally dry-cleaned by a wedding dress specialist immediately after our day ($850) and the condition is excellent with some slight marks in the internal bodice. Some pearls fell off during the day however this can be easily fixed.

Silvana’s gowns epitomize elegance, femininity and a contemporary twist for the modern bride, all of which are meticulously hand crafted in cut, colour and quality finish. Her passion for perfection both in the fabrics and materials she sources, down to the finest detailing and fit of her gowns are what makes her truly unique. Her designs frequently appear on the red carpet at the Logies and Brownlow medals nights to name a few. She dresses Rebecca Maddern, Jesinta Franklin, Sophie Cachia and has been features in magazines such as Harpers Bazaar.
