The Dress

I am selling this stunning, original and genuine Stewart Parvin wedding dress as it seems such a waste for it to be stored away and not to be worn for another special day.

I bought this dress from a boutique bridal shop in Cambridge in 2008; they sold amongst others Stewart Parvin dresses and spoke and met with the designer regularly. The dress is size 10 and has a small corset at the back that is tied with the finest of silk ribbon and then little buttons give the beautiful finished look (see photo). I am a 32D cup and didnt need a bra on the day, I was fully supported and could dance to Pendulum with no fear! I am 56 and wore flats so had the gentlest of dress train. Everybody on the day was extremely complimentary and it certainly had a WOW factor when the church doors opened and I walked down the aisle. I know this sounds clich but I really did feel a princess and was very happy to be centre of attention on the day.

I bought the brooch from Stewart Parvin too (individually hand made) for £60 and the dress was £2,200. The lining of the dress is silk and it has a very fine chiffon overlay. The bodice and shoulders are ruched and offer great support. The dress has only been worn once and was professional dry cleaned and stored since. There is no damage at all to the dress.
