The Dress

Beautifully constructed, dramatic ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. The dress is offered in a modern matte technical satin. The bodice features a very graphic, yet feminine seaming detail. The tight bodice is constructed through very flattering vertical seaming that continues as pleats into the skirt to create the very couture-like generous silhouette and volume. The backside is highlighted by a dramatic sculptural oversized bow with straps that follow into the gorgeous train. The dress is offered with a beautiful organza underskirt, adding the dramatic ball gown volume.

The dress has been professionally cleaned and the majority of marks have been removed. There are, however, some light marks still present but these are mainly on the inner hem and are barely unnoticeable.

Purchased from Browns Bride, London. I originally booked hoping to see another dress which wasn't available but as soon as I tried this dress on I knew it was 'the one'! I love the classic ballgown silhouette made modern and contemporary by the large bow to the reverse. I wish I could keep it for future daughters, but I simply don't have the space... or any daughters!

Alterations

I had the hemline taken up slightly, as I chose to wear the dress without the organza underskirt as we married overseas and it was too hot (I do have the underskirt and you're quite welcome to it should you decide to wear it - please just let me know).

I am 5'10" and wore 10cm heels so there is plenty of fabric to play with!
