The Dress

Hi, I am selling my beautiful Monique Lhuillier Astor wedding dress. I absolutely love this dress and felt truly special in it. I am sad to be selling it but would rather give it a new home than have it sat in my cupboard packed away.

It has a real bohemian and fairytale vibe. It is a classical dress but has a modern edge to it with the low v-neck, skinny straps and blush undertones. The detail on the dress is truly stunning - it has the right level of sparkle whilst looking elegant - and the silk tulle is really soft and delicate.

It's been worn once and is in immaculate condition. It has also been professionally dry cleaned.

I am a true UK size 6 and 5" tall. I wore 5 inch heels on my wedding day. My chest is a 32B. It would fit someone with a petite frame.

I bought the dress from Brown's Bride in London.

The dress frames the body beautifully. The top of the dress is deep v-neck boned lace corset (the dress does up with a zip) - it is an off-white tone. I had a little bid of padding put in the chest area. It synchs in at the waist and flows out into an A-line. The skirt is made of an off-white/ivory-toned soft silk tulle with a nude/blush underskirt. The skirt has a subtle soft blush tone to it. The light catches the dress beautifully, in real life and in the wedding photos.

The dress is quite airy and light. I had my wedding in early summer in Cyprus. I did not feel hot at any point in the dress. It really was an easy dress to wear.

Happy to answer any questions! The dress is located at my family's dry cleaners and so can be viewed there. I am happy for the dress to be tried on but please do not wear fake tan or anything that could mark the fabric. Also, given how expensive the dress is, my mother will be assisting with the trying on of the dress.

Alterations

I had the dress taken up and taken in so that it fits my size (UK size 6) and height (5" plus 5 inch heels)
