The Dress

I bought this dress the fall of 2015 for my 2016 summer wedding. The color is ivory lace over an almond base. I fell in love with the lace and the fine romantic details, including the back and long cathedral train. However, I fell in more love with another dress; hence this dress was never worn. Only wore it for fittings after one session of alterations. It has never been worn out and has been kept neatly and safe in the original bag it was bought in.

Alterations

I bought this dress as a custom fit only for the height which is 5ft 7in. I bought the dress when I was a size 12, but lost weight where I was a size 10 during alterations. The dress was altered once, taken in around the waist and hip, taken in to a size 10; however, my tailor never actually cut the fabric, so the dress can still be taken out to its original size 14. My tailor also put in alterations for a bustle which you can see in picture seven, but again can be taken out. Pads for the bust was placed so that you do not need to wear a bra, but can easily be taken out.
