The Dress

Stunning ‘Eliana’ wedding dress from LA-based Reformation. The flowing backless design has a bow at the back which can be tied loosely for a relaxed silhouette or tighter for a more nipped-in waist.

I felt so beautiful wearing it on my wedding day. It was a very hot day but I was cool in the light-weight 100% silk fabric, and could easily walk, sit and dance due to the split up the front.

It’s a size 4 US, will fit a NZ size 6-8. I had it altered to fit, nipping in the sides and bust to give more support, adding size C cups (these can be taken out), and shortening it to about 1.5m length. I also had it fully lined as it was quite sheer.

It’s not a tight-fitting dress and the elegant silhouette skims curves, to suit a variety of shapes. I’m 155cm and wore 10cm heels, and the dress sat just above the ground.

The retail value (including duties and postage to NZ) was US$785 and including alterations it came to NZ$1860.

It’s been drycleaned by a specialist bridal drycleaner and is in perfect condition.
