The Dress
I'm pre-selling my gorgeous Pallas Couture "Annalina" wedding gown from their 2017 Forever Fleurs collection. She is an enchanting silk tulle dress with a plunging v-neck, low back, dramatic train, laser-cut, hand-sewn flower lace appliques, and pockets!
The skirt features 2 layers of silk tulle with a modesty layer of fabric underneath. The bodice is a semi sheer corseted style with boning and features lovely white flowers of varying sizes along the bodice leading to the plunging v-neck. There are built-in cups hidden in the bodice. The floral appliques are scattered with iridescent sequins which lend a subtle sparkle across the entire dress.
The look is romantic, sexy, and elegant all at once! I purchased this dress as a sample at the Mark Ingram Atelier in New York City in January 2018. It was in pristine condition; I had it professinally cleaned by a bridal expert and altered. This gown retailed for $11,250; I paid $5000 plus NYC sales tax ($5450) and another $1000 for alterations.
I am wearing the dress for my wedding in early September so it will be available in late September (once I have it cleaned for you!) I will update my listing with photos from my wedding once they're ready.
Everyone who sees this dress comments on how beautiful and completely unique it is. The floral appliques are different from anything else I've seen in my extensive bridal shopping. I think it's the perfect dress for a bride who wants something special, refined, romantic, yet undeniably alluring and sexy.
Please feel free to message me with questions. Brides in the NY/NJ/CT area, we can arrange for you to try it on if you'd like. Thanks!
Alterations
The dress sample was a bridal size 8 so I had it altered down to my street sized 4 body. My measurements are bust 34" (D cup), waist, 27". Since it's an A-line, hip size doesn't factor in. The waist was taken in, straps shortened, and the dress was hemmed to my height in heels (5' 10"). Because I wanted the option of cinching the waist to create a very narrow silhouette, my seamstress added a waist stay (a hidden internal ribbon with a hook and eye that goes around the waist inside the dress). You don't have to hook this if you want a slightly looser fit at the waist. A French bustle lies invisibly underneath the skirt and is easy to do. There are 5 sets of pale-colored ribbons which easily tie to each other to create a beautiful bustle for dancing!
