The Dress

A unique designer wedding dress bought from Ireland's exclusive stockist ( and one of very few in the UK).
A dress that is utterly gorgeous in every way: described as off white with soft flowing crepe silk skirt, beautiful flattering fit, comfortable and light. It is perfection!

Worn last March 2017 at our Scottish country house wedding, has since been professionally dry-cleaned and carefully stored in the bag provided by Rue De Seine to protect colour fade.

The dress has french lace bodice with low V front, open back and roule strap detail. This silhouette offers a full skirt with a dramatic hemline made up of side slits to create a hint of bare leg when walking. French lace scalloping detail over bodice and mesh centre front insert.
It is a perfect mix of modern and traditional, sexy without being over the top, with a hint of bohemian, and the silk skirt moves like a dream.
The dress has an open back, with two delicate strings that can be tied a number of different ways.
The two high slits on both sides are barely noticeable when standing still but show some leg when spinning around or sitting. There is also a hand loop for dancing.
This dress was really comfortable, very unique and will make you feel like the most amazing bride!

The dress was professionally tailored (cost £200) in terms of length to shoe height (I'm 5'2" and wore with 4" heels- Jimmy Choo 'lottie')
Cups added to the bust (b-cup) as is backless- these are attached with a hand stitch and would be easily removable.

After dry-cleaning a very small, faint rose petal stain remained at the bottom of the dress and some faint water marks in the train ( from wet ground). Due to the extremely delicate nature of the 100% silk crepe skirt this would have been too risky to force out completely. I would say barely noticeable as at the bottom of the dress is quite layered. In this area there is also about 0.5 millimetre tear ( sad to see when collecting from dry cleaner)but it is absolutely tiny. I was expecting it to come out in perfect condition and I did get the dry cleaners to work at it a second time to bring up as close to new as possible. The cost to clean was £150. Overall it is in extremely good/new condition and considering the amazing crepe silk material of the skirt and gorgeous soft lace I would not hesitate on recommending this dress to anyone who wants something very special. I also strongly think it has a brand new look and feel to it.

With alterations, dry cleaning and minor flaws I have reasonably taken all into consideration with price. I will offer free P&P worldwide in original box and with dress bag.
I intended on keeping the dress but it is far too gorgeous to have hanging up in a wardrobe forever as it is definitely far from a typical second hand.
