The Dress

I wore the dress for my wedding in 1991, so I am sure it is considered vintage by now!! I cannot find a label inside, I am sure this was cut out, all those years ago, but it was a design that was featured in one of the bridal magazines at the time, in pink, as I remember how chuffed I was to be wearing a dress that was pictured and recommended! I have put polyester as the material, to be honest, I am not sure. There is a tulle skirt underneath, but I did have to wear a hoop to get the full ballgown effect. The dress does not have a train. It is secured at the back with lots of pretty pearl buttons, with a large bow at the base. The skirt is also decorated with smaller bows.

It is a true size 14. It had to be taken up a little, I am 5ft 4in and wore 3 inch heels on the day. It was dry cleaned straight after the wedding and has been hanging in the same bag it was purchased in, in my wardrobe, ever since.

I am kind of reluctantly selling, I have kept it all these years, but am getting married again this year, and there will be no room for two used wedding dresses! I hope someone fancies wearing something a little older and a bit different, and you will get the same great comments about it, as I did all those years ago.
