The Dress

An opportunity to purchase this beautiful Annasul Y 'Snow' gown worn for my wedding in September 2013.

I would love to pass on my wedding dress to someone who will get equal pleasure.

A bit about the dress: originally the dress had a full skirt shape. I worked with the tailor (to the royal family no less!) to create the classic hourglass shape in the lace underskirt for the ultimate womanly shape, by fitting the lace through to the knee in a fishtail. The silk tulle overskirt retains its original, delicately billowing fullness. The result is the ultimate silhouette with a soft femininity - and it's the only one of its kind!

The dress is made of gorgeous lace with a silk tulle overlay. At the top of the dress, the delicate tulle is ruched over the sculptured lace bodice, which is finished with a firmer lace trim framing the bust and enhancing the waist, creating the start of the hourglass shape. The lace under-dress has been tailored fitted from the waist to the knee to continue the hourglass shape giving a magnificent silhouette, while the silk tulle skirt is full & flowing as it ruches out from the waist with a cute bustle at the back, delicately billowing down to the floor. The base of the dress features the pretty scalloped edge of the lace and falls neatly back into a train. Overall the dress shows off your shape providing the structure while the overskirt lends the delicate flowing element, resulting in a sexy yet classic look. If your husband-to-be likes your shape, he will LOVE this dress!

The complimenting bolero has cute capped sleeves made from the same silk tulle featuring some tiny delicate pearls on the lace, and with a lace trim that edges the capped sleeves & beautifully frames the décolletage. On the upper back the effect is a continuation of the sheer silk with lace detail leading up to the nape of the neck.

The dress was bought as a size 12 but taken in and will fit anyone up to a size 11! The inner workings mean it will fit any shape – the bodice has a clever inner corset that can be drawn in around your shape from the bust down to the tummy to your most flattering silhouette giving you absolute confidence on the day. It can be pinned up in a 3-point overbustle for the evening. I’m 5’5” and wore 3” heels.

There is no damage to the dress and the bolero is equally in perfect order. The dress has not been cleaned and as such there are the usual marks at the very bottom, mainly on the lining skirt and a bit on the lace. Please note on the image at the tailor's this was prior to the silk tulle being cut to the exact length of the lace dress. I'm happy to provide more photos, exact measurements and consider offers on request. The tailored dress was £1700 and the bolero £350.
