The Dress

Beautiful 'couture' Essence of Australia designer wedding dress, made of ivory lace over soft crushed taffeta (in champagne). The overall effect is a lovely soft/warm cream colour. It's a fitted wedding dress (the style is called 'fit and flare', and I would describe it as fitted A-line). I am a 'pear' shape and it fitted me well. The bodice is corset style with boning and lace detail.

This was the wedding dress of my dreams, and I felt like a princess in it. It comes with a (detachable) beaded belt, which adds 'bling' to the dress, and really looks fantastic. It zips up at the back, but also has crystal buttons down the back which conceal the zip, and the train is quite spectacular. It has a wrist loop at the bottom of the train so you can lift the train off the ground during your wedding reception perhaps, but I also had a small loop added to the back, so that the train can be hooked to the back of the dress.

I purchased the dress brand new in Wellington in December 2012, and have worn it once on our wedding day in Jan 2013. It has since been dry cleaned and is hanging in a gown bag in my wardrobe. This dress still looks brand new. I paid $2695 for it, so this is an excellent buy at half price.
