The Dress

As soon as I tried on the 'Connie' I knew it was the one for me. It is from the Alan Hannah 2013 Classic Beauty collection.

It is made from the softest French lace and was so comfortable and lightweight all day long. The attention to detail in this T-length dress is amazing with a fitted laced corset that gives a beautiful figure-hugging shape. The lace illusion neckline and 3/4 sleeves shows just enough but not too much. Lace covered buttons down the back are such a pretty addition too. The amount of work and the quality of the lace is obvious to all and many of our guests commented how stunning it looked. I wore a satin rhinestone detailed belt to add more attention to the waistline but the dress looks good without it.

Although the dress is labelled 14 it is more like a high street 12. The corset allows you to alter exactly to your shape. I also have the Ivory & Co 'Marcia' vintage-inspired Swarovski crystal rhodium plated headband. This was £145 brand new. I wore a satin-trimmed 20 (shoulder length) veil with it. I also have a pair of Rainbow Erin shoes in size 5.5 with a 2.5 heel but they are a little marked.

I purchased the dress from The White Company, Stow on the Wold and got married at the beginning of September. This is the latest release from this British Designer and it would be a shame for no-one else to have the pleasure of it. This dress was perfect for me and I am sure it could be for you too.
