This is a handmade, strapless, corseted Phillipa Lepley gown, created in her studio in Chelsea.

This is a current Phillipa Lepley gown, chosen in 2012 and worn in late Spring 2013. I am a UK size 8, 5'5 and I wore 10cm heels. The gown is corseted and can easily be taken out a further 1 to 1.5. This gown hugs you perfectly, it was so comfortable all day and all night long, a testament to the quality and workmanship of a Lepley gown. I am happy for you to come and see it for yourself and try it on.

It is a warm ivory colour, in the finest silk duchess satin. Pure luxury!

Adelade Drape is made from Phillipa’s favourite fabric: A rich silk duchess satin from a family owned mill in Italy that has been weaving cloth for hundreds of years.

It is a strapless dress of rich folds and soft drapes cut effortlessly across the front in an asymmetric design that are pulled up into a symmetrical form on the centre back that shows the fabric at it’s best. Underneath all this softness is structure and heavily boned corseting that pulls in the waist. There are layers of petticoat to support the skirt and an under dress to allow the lines to flow, creating the classic Phillipa Lepley silhouette.

The centre back of the corset is laced closed and the dress over is fastened with tiny buttons and loops of duchess satin that give the final couture detail.

A Phillipa Lepley couture gown is created with exact precision by passionate expert craftsmen in her London studio. Every gown is built specifically to flatter a woman’s figure, to enhance her shape in the best possible way. In turn making her look as beautiful and feel as confident as possible on her big day.
